The work "Who is hungry?" is the author's first "message-driven" creation. Mainly with the thought that, in addition to surplus food, about 9 million people die each year due to hunger and hunger-related diseases, it was created as a reminder to himself. That food is not a commodity to be handled unconsciously, but a substance that forms and shapes us. Such death is more than from AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. Of these, 3.1 million are CHILDREN.

1 in 9 people go to bed hungry. The reduction in the number of people affected by hunger occurred during a period when the global population increased by 2.2 billion – from 5.3 billion in 1990 to 7.5 billion in 2018.
The proportion of undernourished people in the world has therefore decreased significantly over the past three decades, from 19% in 1990 to 10.8% in 2018.
However, this positive trend has faded in recent years and has even reversed. The proportion of undernourished people in the world:
1990: 19.0%
2000: 14.5%
2010: 11.8%
2015: 10.6%
2016: 10.7%
2017: 10.8%
2018: 10.8%
The number of people affected by hunger is highest on the African continent, where 20% of the population does not get enough food. In parts of East and Southern Africa, this is more than 30%. In sub-Saharan Africa, 1 in 3 children experiences stunted growth because they do not get enough food or vitamins.
In addition to numerous health problems, stunted growth also affects children's cognitive abilities.
