Infinite life

Life is infinite. But what about us?

We are just a fleeting spark – like a firefly that lights up and fades away. Our life lasts 80, maybe 100 years. Compared to millions of years of existence, that is but a grain of sand.

Yet, in this short time, we are connected to everything. The air we breathe, the trees that give us oxygen, memories of the past, and dreams of the future – it’s all woven into one infinite circuit.

We are small in such a vast existence, yet we often take life far too seriously. Each of us has our own carousel, our own game – and that is the essence. We can play this game however we choose.

When I realized that life is short and only one, I saw that I have nothing to lose. On my deathbed, will I remember that I was a manager in a store? Or that I had my own business? No. I want to remember that I gave warmth, trust, joy, and kind words to people. That I gave more of myself to life.

I do what inspires me. Sometimes so strongly that I can’t sleep at night, because I can’t wait for morning to come. In my old job, I knew security, a fixed routine, and a paycheck once a month. Today I know that true security is life itself. And the true reward? People’s smiles. Money comes as a consequence.

That’s why I created the work Infinite Life. To remind us that we are here for only a short time – yet part of a greater whole.

Life is not something we have to take too seriously. It is enough to surrender to it and let it guide us.

How do you feel about this piece? The painting will be exhibited live at this year’s ArtExpo at the Brdo Congress Center from 21–23 November 2025. You are welcome to visit.
